"The Unforgettable Novelty of a $3 Toploader"

Like most people out there, we all try to get good deals. You see, my teacher told me that humans will always take advantage of other humans. Regardless of the situation, like the English taking over the Indians' land for a few blankets, or getting a Mickey Mantle card for $0.25 - it all boils down to pure luck. You see, I enjoy yard saling. I usually go out on a nice sunny day where the birds are chirping and I basically look for ways of taking advantage of people. Yes, this does include my knowledge of knowing which games are rare, but hey, the human race is all about survival. So you get the point, I got a really good deal that I'll never forget.

The day started off very simple. It was a Saturday morning and I was fatigued to the state of where I wouldn't know what day it was. So I slept in till about nine, and woke up. I sat around playing games, and then my parents returned from yard saling. They started bragging about how I should've went since they saw Nintendo systems and games at a nearby yard sale. My dad said that there was some sort of a toploader system at a yard sale two houses away. I started to get a eery feeling inside my stomach. So I quickly put on some scummy shoes, a hat, and I never took a shower. So I looked like a piece of scum from the sewers. Anyhow, I walked down to this yard sale, quickly noticed a toploader, a NES Advantage controller, and a power adapter for the NES. I stood there in amazement thinking about what to do next. The woman noticed my interest in the item.
ant: "How much do you want for the video game system?"
Seller: "Oh, hey, is that Barb's stuff? Oh yeah, that stuff is $3."

After hearing those heavenly words, I stood there in a stupor. Obviously I said sure, here's three bucks. I whipped out my wallet, handed her the money, and grabbed everything. This had to be one of the greatest deals ever. I got a toploading NES, a NES advantage joystick, and a power adaptor all for $3! I started running home and laughing along the way. The funny thing is that the woman mentioned that she didn't know anything about it. I just couldn't believe it. So many people pay such a high price on eBAY and score a lucky purchase off of a yard sale for $3. I'll probably post some pics of it after I clean it up (it was sitting on a front lawn).
